We apologize for any inconvenience, however, our May orientations are full. We will announce our June orientation date(s) on Tuesday, May 28th. Thank you for your understanding.

A volunteer orientation fee is required (per person) and includes a volunteer t-shirt or apron, badge, and insurance coverage in case of an injury:
$25 General Volunteer (12 years of age & older)
$15 Service Volunteer (12 years of age & older)
$15 Active Duty Military & Immediate Family

"The San Antonio Humane Society is a wonderful place to volunteer! There are so many ways that you can volunteer. You can come when you wish and help wherever you feel you will fit in. And you WILL find a place to fit in! I truly receive much more than I give. I often see people jogging or walking next to busy highways for exercise, and I wonder why they don't avoid the car and truck fumes and come to SAHS to walk a few dogs instead! Others that may not have time, can send a monetary gift...and everything helps. Anyone can help in some way...and if you love animals, SAHS deserves your support. The staff is wonderful, and it's a comprehensive team effort. So I hope to see more join the team. It truly is a win-win situation!"
