Adoption fees for Dogs:
25 pounds & under - $125
26 pounds & over - $89
This adoption fee includes: spay/neuter surgery, first set of vaccinations, microchip, de-wormer, flea and tick prevention, collar, tag, complimentary wellness exam within the first 5 days after adoption and 14 day complimentary follow up care at any one of the participating VCA animal hospitals, and 30 days free Sheltercare insurance. In addition, you will receive a free bag of Science Diet food to get you started.

3 Months & under - $99
Over 3 months of age - $89
This adoption fee includes: spay/neuter surgery, first set of vaccinations, microchip, feline aids and leukemia test, de-wormer, flea and tick prevention, collar, tag, complimentary wellness exam within the first 5 days after adoption and 14 day complimentary follow up care at any one of the participating VCA animal hospitals, and 30 days free Sheltercare insurance. In addition, you will receive a free bag of Science Diet food to get you started.

Adopt a Senior Pet - Please Give Us a Chance

The Humane Society assists other area shelters by transferring animals to be adopted from our facility.
This provides more room in other shelters so they can continue to serve the public by receiving animals. The Humane Society transfers from Animal Care Services, Animal Welfare Society, Bulverde Humane, Calhoun County Humane Society, Universal City, Highland Lakes SPCA, City of Windcrest, Goliad Pet Adoption, Kirby Animal Control, Leon Valley Animal Control, Live Oak Animal Control, and Schertz Animal Control.


Local San Antonio VCA Animal Hospitals are pleased to offer your new companion the following:
(1) Complimentary overall wellness exam
(2) Complimentary 14-day follow-up care
