- Our Adoption Center Hours are 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Sunday. We are closed on all major holidays.

- Monday’s Mutts, $25 adoption fee for all dogs 25lbs or more every Monday in June, July and August.

Adoption fees* for Dogs:
25 pounds & under - $99
26 pounds & over - $65
This adoption fee includes: spay/neuter surgery, first set of vaccinations, microchip, de-wormer, flea and heartworm prevention, collar, tag, complimentary wellness exam within the first 5 days of adoption, 14 day complimentary follow up care at any VCA animal hospital, 30 days Sheltercare insurance, and a starter bag of Hill's Science Diet pet food. Less than 4 Months - $50
Over 4 months of age - $30
This adoption fee includes: spay/neuter surgery, first set of vaccinations, microchip, fiv/felv test, de-wormer, flea prevention, collar, tag, complimentary wellness exam within the first 5 days of adoption, 14 day complimentary follow up care at any VCA animal hospital, 30 days Sheltercare insurance, and a starter bag of Hill's Science Diet pet food. Second Glances for Second Chances

The Humane Society assists other area shelters by transferring animals to be adopted from our facility.
This provides more room in other shelters so they can continue to serve the public by receiving animals. The Humane Society transfers from Animal Care Services, Animal Welfare Society, Bulverde Humane, Calhoun County Humane Society, Universal City, Highland Lakes SPCA, City of Windcrest, Goliad Pet Adoption, Kirby Animal Control, Leon Valley Animal Control, Live Oak Animal Control, and Schertz Animal Control.


Local San Antonio VCA Animal Hospitals are pleased to offer your new companion the following:
(1) Complimentary overall wellness exam
(2) Complimentary 14-day follow-up care
